Terms
Last updated October 13, 2026
Sidebite is a free app for UC Riverside students that picks a food spot near campus for you. By using it you agree to these terms.
Using Sidebite
- You need a UCR email address to sign up, and one account per person.
- Deals are offered by the spots, not by us. A spot can change or end a deal. Deals marked as examples aren't live yet.
- Scores only count after a verified visit, so don't try to fake visits or scores.
- Picks, hours and prices are our best information but can be wrong. Check with the spot.
Sidebite texts (SMS terms)
- Program: Sidebite texts. You get your weekly Wednesday drop by text, and replies when you text us asking for a food pick.
- How you join: enter your mobile number in your Sidebite account, tick the consent box, then reply YES to our confirmation text. Consent isn't required to use Sidebite.
- How often: up to about 4 messages a week from us, plus a reply each time you text us.
- Cost: Sidebite is free. Message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
- Stop anytime: reply STOP to cancel. You'll get one message confirming you're unsubscribed, and nothing after that. Reply START to join again.
- Help: reply HELP, or email brandon.sidebite@gmail.com.
- AI replies: replies to your texts are written by an AI model. It only recommends spots from Sidebite's list, but it can make mistakes.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
See the privacy policy for how we handle your number. We never share it for marketing.
